Pictures without thumbnails ?

The thumbnails did work for me for short while, but stopped showing up again earlier today. They also no longer show an error message, just say "error creating thumbnail".

I have been working with the mediawiki support desk on this but so far we have not been able to find the error. It may boil down to my needing to upgrade the wiki, which I have been putting off because it's very time consuming and frankly, I am short on time.

I will continue to work on this issue, please continue to post any additional related errors you find in this thread.

It seems like uploading .png pictures works fine, but .jpg pictures are still broken.

It's not yet fine but it's a balm to the saoul !

If the PREVIEW doesn't display the 500px picture, we just need to repeat the PREVIEW or RELOAD the screenshot ("Upload a new version of this file" on the page of the picture itself).

But I've experienced a strange trouble : a former pix uploaded at 500px is uploaded with a new version, full size of 2,028 × 902 pixels. The page displays it well at 500px. If I clic it, I switch to the pix's page with the 800px display; a new clic on the screenshot should display this time the 2,028 x 902 ... and ... and ... it's only the 500px which fullfills the screen !

I've noticed on Olympus Has Fallen that, although the thumbnails didn't work initially, over time they have begun generating correctly.

Maybe its just takes a while to generate them?

Loading all the code then a single PREVIEW and we have all the chances that the page will not be allright at the first trial.

If you makes a PREVIEW after each new picture upload, it works better. (and it's possible to load a new picture in the same time on another folder).

mediawiki support has not been able to pin down the error with this problem, and in debug mode the site does not generate any meaningful error code. This may be an issue until I can get time to update the site version, so I will try and start putting the pieces together (but I can't give a solid timeline).
