Pretty sure this unidentified aircraft is a Cessna A188

Thanks, have changed it for you.

Good to have you on the site now. Out of interest, how did you find us?

I knew there was an Internet Movie Firearms Database, and after watching War Games and seeing a plane I did not recognize I figured someone would have made a plane database too.

But I didn't know about the unidentified section until someone posted about the website on a forum I visit.

Also the unidentified jet on this page may be a CT-114 Tutor but there is not enough detail to be sure.

It's a possibility, but as you said, not much detail to go on.

My best suggestion was the MS-760, given it was all filmed in Europe as well, less likely to be a CT-114.

That is more likely, the plane in the movie appears to have wing tip tanks with a light in it which the CT-114 did not have.

I noticed right after submitting my post but was unable to edit it.

Welcome to the site Sops! Hey, I would be real interested in hearing about the forum that was talking about the site. We have had an increase in hits recently and I am having a hard time finding out where they are all coming from. Feel free to introduce yourself in the intro section here in the forum and/or on your User page on the wiki.

Each user should be able to edit their own posts once the forum recognizes that they are no longer a newly registered user. You should no longer be in that category. If this is not the case, for anyone, please let me know. Also, hopefully it no longer requires you to have your posts pre-approved.

You can not view it without registering but it was posted in this thread on the purpleboard.net which is filled mostly by general aviation pilots.

Registered. Hope they don't mind that I am not a pilot (at this time) and I used IMPDb as the username. Think our logo will be okay on that site as the avatar? Some sites are touchy. Are you Miles on the site? Looks like we owe Miles a big thank you.

You won't be shunned for not being a pilot. I don't think they will take issue with the avatar, it is a pretty friendly group but you can always ask an admin. Oh, and I am not Miles but feel free to post in his thread if you want him to see it.

Great call on both. Thanks Sops!
