Estranged from her mother following a less than glowing recount of her childhood, playwright Siddalee Walker (Bullock) is transported back to her childhood home by her mother's life-long friends. Using their decades old scrapbook and copious amounts of alcohol, the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood" tries to shed new light on the trials and tribulations that caused Sidalee's resentment.
