Fighters

This long movie -dedicated to an army general- focuses on infantery and tank actions. Aviation is seen in short actions like it really appears to G.I.s : quick, fast and usually at a certain distance. The director, according with the script, follows the german bombers but, to underline Patton's reluctance towards the air force, all allied aircrafts are seen far away or by glimpses. This makes difficult to identify them. I was thinking that only T-6 were used to play fighters and fighters bombers but this webpage (in french) explains how three Hispano HA 1112K "Buchon" flew in France during february 1969 to simulate... P-51s !
Due to the date and weather of actions, I guess that these Buchon are on the scene selected on the main page but as you can see, it's hard to be sure. http://aviation-le-havre.over-blog.com/article-des-messerschmitt-au-havre-43176040.html
