A woman tires of life in a small town and this, along with her infatuation with a Chicago businessman, leads her to extorting the money from her parents to travel to Chicago. The businessman however, spurns her. She returns to Wisconsin where she falls pregnant by her husband. However, the businessman has a change of heart and decides that he wants to be with her after all but he does not want her unborn baby to be part of the package.
