Aer Lingus Commuter was a subisdiary of the national flag carrier Aer Lingus, founded in 1984 for use of smaller commuter aircraft on cross channel routes economically non-viable for jet aircraft. The airline firstly leased Short 330 aircraft and then decided to buy the Short 360. The company merged into Aer Lingus in 2001.
