Dear Friends:

Two short years ago we created this message box on our home page, asking for your help to keep this site up and running. In that time, many of you have generously donated to our PayPal account and we are forever grateful. With your help, we've been able to make the necessary upgrades to our server to keep the site running more smoothly than ever!

The meager ad revenue generated by this site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server, and we who manage it have never made money from it.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we continue to ask for donations to keep this site up and running. If you're still enjoying this website and would like to help us continue being the BEST site on the Internet for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Thank you,
Tobin & Rush

A subsidiary of Air France was established on 7 February 1966 under the name SAFA - Societé Aérienne Française d'Affrètements for charters flights from Paris to the Mediterranean. Flight operations began on 25 July 1966 with two Sud Caravelle and two Lockheed Super Constellation aircraft.
The airline changed its name on 8 December 1969 to Air Charter International. In 1971 ACI operated a fleet of seven Caravelle and carried about 420.000 passengers. The first two Boeing 727-200 were introduced in 1972. Transatlantic charter flights to the USA and Canada were offered from 1982 onwards with leased Boeing 747-200 aircraft operated by Air France. Six Super Caravelle 10B3 were leased from EAS -Europe Aéro Service until 1992. 1981, the livery changed to ACI with Air France / Air inter markings on the sides.
In 1984 the airline name was shortened to Air Charter with a new logo and livery.
