The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a carrier-capable ground-attack aircraft first introduced in 1956. It was primarily used by the US Navy and Marine Corps but was later sold to other nations as well. It was intended to be replaced by the LTV A-7 Corsair II however the two served together for over 20 years.
