Ghana Airways Limited was the national airline of the Republic of Ghana with its main base of operation, and hub, at Kotoka International Airport in Accra. It was founded on the 4 July 1958 by the government of Ghana with start up capital of £400,000; the government holding a 60 percent stake, with BOAC holding the remainder.The airline ceased operations in 2004.
