After receiving his pilot licence, he thought to a safe way to teach new pilots how to fly by instruments. Having found Link Aviation Devices, Inc, he built and marketed a range of flight simulator between the early 1930s and early 1950s. During World War Two, they were used as a key pilot training aid by almost every allied combatant nation.
