Messerschmitt Me 209 seen in World of Warplanes.
The Messerschmitt Me 209 first flew on 1 August 1938. This aircraft designed only to break speed records achieved 756 km/h (469 mph) on 26 April 1939 (this piston-engined record led until 1969). The whole airframe was think to extract the epitome of the engine, with a steam cooling using the whole space of the wings.
Please, do not confuse with the Messerschmitt Me 209 of 1943 wich was a Fighter prototype with no common layout !
