The Northrop HL-10 was an experimental lifting body airframe. This single aircraft flew only 37 times between 1966 and 1970, a third of them being only gliding flights. Despite a time of powered flight of nearly one and a half minute, it provides valuable data which were very usefull in the choice of the future Space Shuttle's shape.
