The Piasecki H-25 was a compact single radial engine, twin overlapping tandem rotor utility helicopter developed by the Piasecki Helicopter Corporation during the late 1940s and produced during the early 1950s. It saw action from 1949 with the US Navy as HUP Retriever then the US Army bought it under the name H-25 Army Mule. It was phased out of service in the mid sixties in the U.S.A. just before the same fate in Canada and the french Fleet Air Arm (Aéronautique Navale), the two other customers.

Piasecki company changed its name in 1956 to Vertol Aircraft Corporation and was subsequently bought by Boeing Aircraft Company in 1960, and became Boeing-Vertol.

339 Piasecki HUP-2 Retriever / H-25 Army Mule have been built.
