The Sikorsky S-62 is a single turbine engined, single rotor amphibious helicopter first developed in 1969. Initially designed as a commercial helicopter, it was adopted by the U.S. Coastguard as HU2S-1G Seaguard (later HH-52A), as an amphibious search and rescue helicopter. 98 aircraft were operated by the USCG, with numerous others operated by other coastguard and air forces.
