Heinkel He111s in the film were depicted by special effects models and digitally retouched footage from the 1969 film Battle of Britain.

BOB footage - these post war CASA 2.111s were powered by Rolls Royce Merlin engines and can be identified by the large radiator inlet below the propeller.
