As excited as I am to see another movie added to the database, and especially to see Star Wars, I am still unsure. This is when I don't like being the executive decision maker. Yes, it would be good to hear from Kooshmeister, Lantzs09, and anyone else out there on the forum. Maybe because they do have names, it's okay? I suppose it could count provided the fictional aircraft appear alongside real ones or ones patterned after real ones. I know the old 90's cartoon SWAT Kats had a lot of interesting-looking "retro-futuristic" jets and helicopters alongside the SWAT Kats' "Turbokat" which was apparently designed after an F14 Tomcat. - Kooshmeister

Tobin's idea of a fictional section is a good idea. The discussion then becomes - do all all animated movies become fictional too? A good example is The Simpson's Movie which is obviously animated but the 'aircraft' are clearly intended to represent real ones. You also then have films like Independence Day which are real but feature CGI fictional aircraft.Bthebest 04:34, 20 January 2011 (MST)
