After a series of attacks on trucks, L.A.P.D.-officer Brian O'Conner is sent to investigation in the space of illegal road races. He makes friends with Dominic Toretto, the champ of road races, and also fells in love with Dom's sister Mia. Later, when Dom and his gang are attacking an other truck, Brian convinces Mia to help him to stop her brother. When Dom finds out that Brian is a L.A.P.D.-officer, he lefts him. After both man chased the murders of one of Dom's friends, Brian and Dome agrees with one another, with Dom fleeing to Mexico.
