Dear Friends:

As many of you have noticed, The Internet Movie Plan Database (impdb.org) has recently had a hard time keeping up with the growing demands of our users. In 2009 when a couple of us got together to begin putting the website together, space was never an issue. In fact, it has steadily grown with virtually no problems throughout the years.

In about the middle of 2016 we began to run into server space issues. We have since made upgrades (moving to a VPS, buying more space, etc), but the site continues to outgrow the upgrades. The meager ad revenue generated by the site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server. We who manage the site have never made money from it, it has only ever earned enough money to cover actual server costs.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we are asking for donations to keep this site up and running consistently like it did when it was a smaller, newer site. If you've enjoyed this website and would like to see it continue being the site you go to for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Oh yeah, new users and edits are now active (hopefully for good) while we're testing new and improved spam/bot protections :)
Thank you,
IMPDb Staff

Trailer or Not ?

Many thanks for this usefull page !
About the Template, it could usefull to write if the page is done from a trailer (and so, the probability to be uncomplete is high) or not. Please note that an other source gives no insurance to have the whole inventory of aircrafts. LVCDC 06:23, 31 October 2013 (MDT)

I think to avoid it being over complicated, the guidelines for such templates should be: If your build the page and believe it to be incomplete, add the relevant template and say on the discussion page why; if you update the page and believe it to be complete, remove the banner and make a comment on the discussion page.
There is no assurance on any page that it is complete, the templates just acknowledge a potential shortfall. I also will create some guidelines for each template - keep an eye out! Bthebest - IMPDb Administrator 11:46, 31 October 2013 (MDT)

Help Out

As written by Bthebest, a lot of pages are probably uncompleted. If such banner is put on, that's because the author has not finish his work or he's sure that something is missing or the movie is on the screen since less a year. I've put sometimes the banner under construction for lost page (ex. : Pancho Barnes) probably written by an unexperienced contributor.

Unfinished Page

The Longest Day

I could complete this page in the coming days. I just need 3 hours free to watch again the movie ;-) !

update completed on 26 november 2013.

User_talk:LVCDC

This page was seen 800+ times and could be helpfull for some reader. Of course the HELP link to the "how to" is better and the link to From Paris With Love is no more an example (I change it).

Red Tails

As written on top of the page, the C-47 section still need a screenshot. I'm not able to do this.

A Repülés Története

I've seen this short movie and so made the page. But I'm unable to find it again to complete it by a screenshot. Still uncomplete.

Windkracht 10: Koksijde Rescue

I've seen only the first half of this movie. Alas ! The DVD was a loan. I tried to complete the page from online trailer but I'm pretty sure it's still uncomplete.

New searches were unsuccessfull; but take care not to confuse with the TV series ! LVCDC 10:03, 13 March 2014 (MDT)

U571 / Mai wei / Heaven Can Wait (1978) / The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle

These movies have been added but their pages are based on trailers. I was unable to find a full-time online or DVD to complete them. I think it's a usefull information : someone accessing this page knows it's uncomplete and could make the choice to help us. As most of the pages are built with extra but uncomplete data from IMCDB, I'm afraid it should be more common ! (For example, I made add-ons on 25 pages and three others are still uncompleted - Porco Rosso will be update next week-).

Aerines siopes

As written on the Discussion tab, I'm still building step by step this Serie. Already 60+ of the 98 episodes.

Analysis completed in december 2013. LVCDC 10:04, 13 March 2014 (MDT)

Demolition Man

Page built only to add a new helicopter seen in another movie; I didn't seen the movie so, if anyone could write if there is -or not- another helicopter and/or aircraft (better : to add the screenshot if the answer is YES), it would be great ! LVCDC 18:01, 2 November 2013 (MDT)

Under Construction

Things to Come / Fun with Dick and Jane (2005) / etc...

Look at page 2 of http://www.impdb.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=850&start=10 . Once the bug with the thumbanils fixed, most will be updated and the banner could then be deleted.
Please note that Now You See Me was written with the banner Recent Release. Who changed it (without saying what is missing) ?

Recent Release

Until an official DVD edition is unavailable, I think such banner is really usefull ! After such release, it will be converted to the unfinished banner, isn't it ? Fourteen pages were written by myself and are really recent (in theater in 2013 ... or 2014).
Al-too-bi: Riteon Too Beiseu is now available on DVD in France under the title Windfighters : les guerriers du ciel and so I changed the banner but three types of aircraft and helicopter are still not yet on the page.

Things to do

Already three categories to survey but can we add the suggestion page ?
LVCDC 13:31, 22 July 2014 (MDT)

  • Under Construction - Users in the process of building a page should use this. The page should not be edited until the creating user has finished and removed the banner. If the latest edit is more than 2 weeks ago, the user should be contacted before the page is completed on their behalf or the banner changed to 'Unfinished Page'.
  • Unfinished Page - Used by any user to identify a page which has been created but substantially incomplete through either formatting or content. Any user can edit this page to complete it. If a user intends to make major changes they should change the banner to 'Under Construction'.
  • Recent Release - This should be used when a page is created based on a trailer, or other limited information, about a recently released film. If no user is able to more fully update the page, the banner should be removed after 9 months.
