Most Sabres in this film are marked as FU-756 (serial 51-2756, an F-86E-10-NA, which in reality was shot down over Korea Bay on 20 July 1953). In one shot we also see FU-757 (serial 51-2757, an F-86E-10-NA) which in reality crashed over North Korea on 8 June 1952, five years before this film is set, and FU-656 (serial 51-2656, a fictional serial number). While the full serial is fictional, note that buzz number FU-656 was used by F-86F-30-NA serial 52-4656. Both actual registrations are anachronistic for a film set in 1957.

P-80s all have buzz number PN-568, making them serial 45-8568.
