Despite the first air raid of 1 000 bombers was a RAF Bomber Command action, this movie is about the struggle of fictionous USAAF Colonel Brandon to achieve such goal. He must face hostily of the HQ and loss of motivation from his men. The day his project comes alive in 1943, the bomb group and Brandon himself must face extraordinary bad luck and fiercest german defenses. 
(In fact, at the end of the war, daily air raids with much more bombers have became routine for both USAAF and RAF).

*"The Rose" starring Bette Midler as a touring rock star also starred a corporate Vickers Viscount 700 used as her personal transport throughout the movie.

*"Year of Living Dangerously". At the begining and end of the movie, a "Royal Netherlands" Boeing 707-338C can be seen, (the aircraft is actually on lease from the Royal Australian Air Force, who's basic colour scheme it carries). A C-130 Hercules can also be seen in the backround.

*The 1950s cartoon, "Clutch Cargo" featured an inaccurately drawn Bellanca Airbus. I can't say if it was intentionally drawn that way or not. To celebrate it being the first US owned Concorde it undertakes a celebratory flight from Dulles to Moscow via Paris. Along the way it suffers various misfortunes. It is targeted by an attack drone, shot at by a mercenary in an F-4 and suffers explosive decompression when the cargo hold door opens due to sabotage. 
Registration F-BTSC and serial 203 this Concorde saw real life service for Air France and as a test bed for Aérospatiale. It crashed in 2000 over Gonesse, France killing all on board.

When a midair collision with a light plane leaves a 747 without a pilot and with a massive hole in the front it falls to the Chief Stewardess to fly the plane safely, aided over the radio by her lover who is an expert pilot. To land the plane safely a daring mid-air aircraft to aircraft rescue is attempted to get a qualified pilot on board the 747.

I think you can also see another F-5E in US Navy Aggressor colors during the briefing in the hangar where Goose flips Kelly McGillis' character the bird. Turbulence is a 1997 action thriller film directed by Robert Butler. It stars Ray Liotta and Lauren Holly and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
After Ryan Weaver is arrested for a murder that he says he did not commit, he must be transported to Los Angeles. He and another prisoner are escorted by four air marshals on a Boeing 747 on a commercial flight. Even though it is Christmas Eve, the plane is nearly empty, with only eight people on board.
During the flight, Stubbs, the other prisoner being escorted, breaks free and begins a shootout with the marshals. Amidst the chaos, both the pilot and co-pilot are killed. Weaver frees himself and attempts to save the last remaining marshal, but fails when both Stubbs and the marshal are shot dead. Because of the death of the pilots, Halloran, a stewardess, makes her way into the cockpit and learns she is the only one left capable of keeping the plane from crashing. To make matters worse, the plane is heading for a Category 6 storm.
Weaver's behavior becomes increasingly erratic. Being the only hope for the plane's survival, Halloran must be instructed by radio how to land.

Turbulence is a 1997 action thriller film directed by Robert Butler. It stars Ray Liotta and Lauren Holly and was distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
After Ryan Weaver is arrested for a murder that he says he did not commit, he must be transported to Los Angeles. He and another prisoner are escorted by four air marshals on a Boeing 747 on a commercial flight. Even though it is Christmas Eve, the plane is nearly empty, with only eight people on board.
During the flight, Stubbs, the other prisoner being escorted, breaks free and begins a shootout with the marshals. Amidst the chaos, both the pilot and co-pilot are killed. Weaver frees himself and attempts to save the last remaining marshal, but fails when both Stubbs and the marshal are shot dead. Because of the death of the pilots, Halloran, a stewardess, makes her way into the cockpit and learns she is the only one left capable of keeping the plane from crashing. To make matters worse, the plane is heading for a Category 6 storm.
Weaver's behavior becomes increasingly erratic. Being the only hope for the plane's survival, Halloran must be instructed by radio how to land.
