Aircraft IDs

Post by Baron_Von_Burger »

I'll be posting my future aircraft finds here, this will make it easier to find what I've been identifying from the website. I've seen a lot of aircraft, both current, and past, and I'd like to help as much as I can through the forums.

The first aircraft I've identified is from Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway.
The aircraft in question are from this picture: http://www.impdb.org/images/8/84/HH_German.jpg

Using knowledge of bombers from World War 2 and Various books and websites I have narrowed it down to two candidates.

1. The Heinkel He 177: http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/ ... 7ab7f6.jpg
In the bottom paint scheme on the image. Everything matches except for the engine length, but there again the engine length often varies.

2. The Junkers Ju 88: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/ ... /Ju88a.jpg
Top paint scheme called the Falklands theatre paint scheme. The nose is a bit shorter, same as above with the whole engine length thing.

More to come...

Next up is the plane in Assassin's Creed Rogue. It looks made for game, however I'd say that the cockpit and nose look similar to the F-16 while the tail section is similar to the F-18. The paint, wings, and side-mounted air intakes are reminiscent of the F-20.
