Brantly helicopters

Hi!
I was looking for information on Brantly helicopters used in movies or TV. My dad told me about the one in You Only Live Twice, he worked with the guy that flew it. It was dinner conversation that Frank was going to England to fly a ship in a James Bond movie. My dad was production manager at the factory at the time.
I spotted the one in Fahrenheit 451 on TV, myself, pre-internet.

I joined the forum because I spotted some mistakes in the Brantly information. I'd been around these ships since I was 4 years old. I even worked in the factory after school when Hynes brought it back to Frederick, Oklahoma in the 70s.

I don't know how to get the mistakes corrected.
mistake:
The Avengers 4.22 What the Butler Saw
The Brantly B-2A, G-ASHD sn 314, is misidentified as a Brantly B-2B, G-ASHO

You can see the D in the first picture and the lack of impeller fan housing behind the engine in the second picture.
Here are some pictures of it from 63 and 64:

I've read that it crashed in 1967 but rotorspot.nl has it listed as preserved, so I went looking and found it listed at: http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/museums/mai ... t_Exhibits

I ran across this one on another web page.
Missing a Brantly in The Avengers
7.14 The Interrogators, aired 20 Jan 1969
Brantly B-2B, G-AVCA sn 466
There are 2 photos of the B-2B at the bottom of this page:

There are a couple of other things I noticed on other pages, but maybe someone can tell me how to get these things corrected, first.

Never mind the second one, I see I just didn't look far enough down the Avengers page.

Thanks for clarifying that StarKiller, I've corrected the page. Unfortunately, the admins have disabled new user creation on the main site for the time being due to repeated spam attacks we received recently, so I don't believe you'll be able to edit the site until they change that. Until that happens, if you post other errors or changes to be made here I'd be happy to add them on your behalf.

Thank you.
There were only 18 Brantly B-2As made before the FAA issued the B-2B type certificate and they switched over to the B-2B.
I'm not sure I'd know how to edit this even if if I was able to. I'll put anything else I find in 'Contributions.' Oh, and nevermind the second one, I don't know why I assumed they were listed by manufacturer rather than chronologically, I just didn't scroll down far enough. I posted that the other day when I found it, but it hasn't been approved yet. :P

"I did find, on another forum a guy that said his father's flight instructor was the pilot in You Only Live Twice. He said his father owned G-ASXE at the time. BEAS, Ltd was distributor in England for Brantly and I'm sure provided instruction to buyers.
The poster is identified as the current owner of Brantly 305 G-ATLO, he said:
"The Brantly going into the volcano in You only live Twice was my Fathers G-ASXE flown by his instructor Pete Perkowski an ex ww2 Hurricane pilot. It was filmed at Pinewood England on a massive set and apparently they couldnt fly it back out so had to do some clever camera work, and take it apart to get it out of the volcano."

I do remember my dad saying Frank was going to England to fly a ship in a Bond movie, but I didn't know for sure if that is what subsequently happened. This is the Frank he was referring to: uscg.mil/history/people/EricksonFrankBio.asp so he was an interesting guy.

I understand about the spambots. Just in the last month the bots trying to join a public Facebook group I admin have gone from 2 or 3 per week to 2 or 3 per day. I know a guy that moderates a forum and it's worse there. I should suggest he implement the 'approve the first so many posts' for the ones that slip through. If you guys aren't already using something like this, it might be helpful
stopforumspam.com
Sometimes, if they are new enough that they haven't made it into the database yet, you can google their info, user name, email, and find them because the results will show how many forums they've recently joined.
