An idea, fictitious markings pictures

Post by Graham1973 »

I'd just like to throw out this suggestion for anyone who is interested.

Where there are entries with fictitious markings it might be useful for modellers to have a profile image showing the markings included in the entry.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, can you explain further or give an example?

Hi Graham,

I would love to help if possible, but I am with Tim. Could you provide a little more information?

Say a top down view of the markings (If the images allow for that) along with a side view of the markings.

I'm no graphic artist myself, which is why I made the suggestion.

One film for which this might be a fairly straightforward task would be the 1997 film Turbulence which featured an ex-JAL 747, I've added two more images from the film, including one rather poignant one with the Twin Towers in the background.

The Delta Force might be another such candidate.

If you're referring to making it easier for users to identify aircraft/liveries, it always better to have as many pictures as possible. We limit it to five, but that should be plenty. It all depends on users capturing and uploading the photos.
