A small private airplane crashes in the desert, not far from Dakar. It is a miracle that the pilot, Jacques Forestier, and his mechanic, Paul Marcadout, survived, since both were drunk when they lost control of the plane.<br>
The last main action echoes the Air France flight of Contellation F-BAZC on 18 February 1947, a 'new' aircraft with only 360 flight hours.
