At the last stages of the World War Two, German Armies put in limited service two types of helicopter :

* [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flettner_Fl_282 the smaller Flettner Fl 282]
The [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focke-Achgelis_Fa_330 Focke-Achgelis Fa 330] doesn't suit as it was an engineless autogyro kite which could fly only by the speed of its tug (a submarine for which the Focke-Achgelis Fa 330 plays the flying crow's nest for a higher and best lookout point).<br>
