It's great to have you! I see you have already been able to make lots of contributions to the site. Thank you! It's looking great. I am know that the viewing community, including myself and the other users are appreciative of anything you can do to help. Since the site is so young, we are a long ways away from where we want to be.

There is a new users page which can help make the site easier to use. If you are interested in getting more involved, you could also register on the forum to publicly discuss site ideas, and other aviation info and thoughts.

Hi Tleeg. Thank you for the welcome. Yes I read the "new users" page at start. Well with very mixed results, I'm still learning Wikmiedia language (never been very active at the wiki). As I've just written in my profile, I do not know much about planes, but will try to add something to this database and in the same time do not spoil anything. ;)

Categories

Just so you're fully aware of the format for this site - we only link aircraft titles to categories if that aircraft has a category. Aircraft only have categories if they have appeared in 2 or more productions. If the aircraft has appeared in 2 or more productions then linking it is fine, even if it's red.

For example: In Hydrozagadka, a Tu-134 also appears in 07 zgłoś się so it can be linked and a page will be created for it in due course. However, the Il-14 has only apeared in Hydrozagadka so far, so no category is required and the title is not linked.

Ok, I will remember this. But in fact I already did it once (and just tried again) in case of PZL helicopters - Mi-2. There are already two, one in For Your Eyes Only, second in 07 zgłoś się and it doesn't work. Only the one from FYEO is visible in PZL Mi-2 category. Can't find what is wrong in this case.

Contribution Scores

I also noticed you have here rank of most active members, were are points for editions - means OPS! :P I will try to edit my contributions less. My adding of dot or something like that, can't be compared with identification of unknown planes done by other members.

The problem with the category was, there was no category tag in 07 zgłoś się. I've corrected it now so if you look at the edit history you'll see what I mean. Also, don't worry about making little edits, if it improves the page then great. Remember you can use the 'Show preview' button to check your page first. Bthebest 16:46, 8 January 2011 (MST)

Agreed. The scoring system is not very sophisticated and is really only meant to be a way to see who is being active on the site. I have not really been all that interested in setting up something to count all of the types of edits a person can do, then rank them. Have fun!

Thanks for jumping in Rush. It would be nice if there was another wiki extension we could use for the Contribution Scores, but the one we are currently using is the only one available.
