The Beriev MBR-2 was a reconnaissance flying boat built in Soviet Union between 1934 and 1941. Based on a requirement for the Soviet Navy, Beriev derivated it into a commercial airliner, the MP-1 and later a freighter one. The MBR-2bis, powered by a more powerful engine and fitted with an enclosed cockpit, a dorsal gun-turret and an enlarged vertical tail.
