This 727 is notable for its time flying with Braniff International Airways, where it wore Alexander Calder's "The Flying Colors Of The United States" livery. Can be seen in episode 1.49 of Les enquêtes du commissaire Maigret on the site - IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft.
By the time of this film, N408BN was sold to Columbia Pictures by International Air Leases, painted all white, and destroyed in an explosion near the end of the film at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.
