Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina

Reg. N5590V Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina built in 1943 by Vultee c/n 1768 (U.S. Navy BuNo 48406).
Seen christened Tiaré tahiti (meaning tiaré flower, a shrub with creamy white flower and pinwheel-shaped with 5–9 lobes). Still flying with this paint sheme at the end of the 1970s. Now on display at Aerospace Museum, San Diego, California, USA in the US Navy colors.

Cockpit bulkhead is missing ...
The Catalina does not have such a door, just an exit hatch.
