Wall of Fame

(left to right) Jean Mermoz (9 December 1901 – 7 December 1936) and Henri Guillaumet (29 May 1902 – 27 November 1940). On 27 November 1940, while flying to Syria with Jean Chiappe, the new French High Commissioner to the Levant, his four-engined Farman F.223-4 airliner (christened Le Verrier) was shot down by an Italian fighter over the Mediterranean Sea.
(top right) Louis Blériot at the controls of his monoplane (1908).
(center) Actress Anne Vandène alias Lucienne Ivry -the competitor of Madeleine Renaud (acting as Thérèse Gauthier)- is pined by a French airline captain.

The new face is Charles Eugène Jules Marie Nungesser (15 March 1892 – last seen on 8 May 1927).
