Note: This film utilises a significant quantity of Computer Generated Images (CGI). Aircraft portrayed in this film may not be entirely accurate and have been identified as closely as possible to real aircraft.

INS Vikrant

First of the name, the ship was laid down as HMS Hercules for the British Royal Navy in 1943, but her construction was suspended in May 1946. At the time of suspension, she was 75 per cent complete. India purchased the incomplete carrier in 1957, and construction was completed in 1961 after several improvements to the original design including an angled deck, steam catapults and a modified island. Vikrant was commissioned as the first aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy and played a key role in enforcing the naval blockade of East Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
On the deck are Hawker Sea Hawks and helicopters. These should be Alouette III/HAL Chetak in place of the small (late variant) Mil Mi-8 seen here along some bigger Sikorsky (India Navy purchased MH-60R -not the Army variant featured here- only in 2021 to replaced Westland Sea Kings themselves commissioned only in 1974!).
