Lockheed L-12A Electra Junior

Reg. NC19933 Lockheed L-12A Electra Junior Maizie c/n 1258, a former C-40A s/n 38-541 of the USAAC. Sold to Braniff after WWII, then to a private owner at the time of the film in which she wears the made for movie "Matthews Aircraft Company" livery.
Same aircraft in other movies at Frequently Seen Aircraft (Civil Fixed-Wing).

Start of the 'dogfight' for fun : a very surprising sequence in a film about the world of politics, which was otherwise shot entirely indoors!

Vultee BT-13 Valiant

Studio filming : the flat front windscreen is not found on an AT-6A but fitted to a Vultee BT-13 Valiant.

North American AT-6A-NA Texan

Unable to pat on your friend's shoulder ? Well... wingtip to wingtip !
Note the flaps downed slighty in order to keep the same speed of the Texan.

Reg. NC90639 North American AT-6A Texan (c/n 77-4141; former USAAC s/n 41-182 till 15 April 1946) used for aerial views. Exported to Philippines shortly after filming (February 1948) where all trace of her was lost.

Continuity error: this is is a Beechcraft 18 cockpit, not a Lockheed!
A set or a real airframe ?
Unlike many films from that era, if it is a set, it has been carefully reproduced, at least in terms of proportions.
