Air Orient was an airline based in France. Created on July 8th 1930 from the merger of Air Asie (created in 1928) and Air Union Lignes d’Orient (created in 1927). The company aimed to operate airline in France, the Mediterranean, and the Far East. The short lived airline was merged with Air France on October 7th 1933. The Air Orient logo was adopted for the emblem of the new company, replacing the abbreviations A O with A F, then removing them from 1934 onwards.
