The de Havilland DH91 Albatross was a British project issued in 1936 for a trans-Atlantic mail plane. The first flight occured on 20 May 1937 and service starts in october 1938. Five airframes were dedicated for passenger and were in service until 1943. A total of seven aircraft were built.
