Onur Air (Turkish: Onur Air Taşımacılık AŞ, often styled OnurAir or Onurair) was a leisure charter airline based in Istanbul. Onur Air commenced operations in May 1992 using Airbus A320 aircraft. In 1996 airline was acquired by Ten Tour Travel Agency - its former customer. Onur Air was member of IATA and has become one of the most respected and solid airlines based in Turkey. Onur Air was the first charter airline to operate the Airbus A321 in spring 1996. Onur Air provides maintenance of Airbus A320 family aircraft to other operators. Onur Air was the largest private airline in Turkey. It serves 13 destinations in Turkey and 72 in 15 foreign countries (as for 2009). Airline also provides significant charter capacity to Hadj every year. Following the COVID crisis, in December 2021, it was forced to suspend all operations until further notice and was declared bankrupt in April 2022.
