Dear Friends:

A few short years ago we created this message box on our home page, asking for your help to keep this site up and running. In that time, many of you have generously donated to our PayPal account and we are forever grateful. With your help, we've been able to make the necessary upgrades to our server to keep the site running more smoothly than ever!

The meager ad revenue generated by this site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server, and we who manage it have never made money from it.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we continue to ask for donations to keep this site up and running. If you're still enjoying this website and would like to help us continue being the BEST site on the Internet for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Thank you,
Tobin & Rush

Deutsche Zeppelin Reederei, successor to DELAG , was incorporated on 22 March 1935 as a joint venture between Zeppelin Luftschiffbau, the Ministry of Aviation, and Deutsche Luft Hansa . The LZ Group's capital contribution came primarily from its two airships Zeppelin LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin and Zeppelin LZ 129 Hindenburg, the latter of which was not yet complete on the date of incorporation. Nearly all of the rest was an infusion of cash by the Air Ministry and DLH . On 30 June 1936 the DZR ordered a sister ship to the Hindenburg, named Zeppelin LZ 130 Graf Zeppelin II and launched in September 1938. But after the Hindenburg disaster on the 6th May 1937, public confidence in zeppelin declined though promotional, and propaganda tours around Europe of the Graf Zeppelin II until August 1939. With the advent of World War II the German Air Ministry decide destruction and melting the airships down for reuse in German military aircraft manufacturing. That was the end of the DZR.

As the phoenix, the company Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei GmbH was re-established in January 2001 as direct descendant of the original airline using Zeppelin NTs.
