CASA C-295W of the Bangladesh Army Aviation Group.

As the CASA/IPTN CN-235 is successfull and some customer request for a longer cargo aircraft, CASA started during the 1990s the design of an airframe roughly extended by three meters. The new project christened C-295 is versatile as it can conduct electronic signals intelligence (ELINT), medical evacuation (MEDEVAC), and maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) duties. The first flight occured in 1997 and the first order on 2000 by Spanish Air Force soon followed by the first export customer (the Polish Air Force, initially ordering eight aircraft in 2001). To date (2023) 200 aircrafts have left the assembly line for 30 different air forces with India being the latest with an order for 56 aircrafts and considering 15 others (those split between the Navy and the Indian Coast Guard) of which 40 are to be manufactured under license by Tata in India. This will be the third assembly line after the EADS in Spain and the second one (Indonesian Aerospace) which provided the C-295 (and the former CN-235) to Indonesia.

This page lists all films that feature a variation of the EADS CASA C-295 in all its variant and license-built airframes.
