Since 2009, Mahindra Aerospace is the main stake holder of Gippsland Aeronautics (alias GippsAero), a company found in 1977. First upgrading Piper PA-25 Pawnees to a point that a new type was certified as GA200, the company then designed the GA8 Airvan (First flight on 3 March 1995). A longer airframe up to 10 seats, the GA10 Airvan, is under production since 2012. The company acquired the GAF Nomad type certificate in 2008 and plans to produce it again as the GA18 (with new engines and a glass cockpit). To date (2020), only the GA8 and the GA10 are under production and the company provides spare parts and support for the GA200 and the GAF Nomad.
