Nok Air (Thai: นกแอร์, derived from nok (นก), the Thai word for bird) is a low-cost airline in Thailand operating mostly domestic services out of Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport. The airline was established in February 2004 as Sky Asia, the airline renamed and started operations as Nok Air on 23 July 2004. Thai Airways owns the largest stake in the airline until May 2017, now second largest stake after Chulangkul family (Mr. Nuttapol Chulangkul, Mr. Taweechat Chulangkul, Mrs. Hatairatn Jurangkool).
