Rohrbach Ro VIII Roland seen in Gloria (1931 - Germany).

In 1922, Dr.-Ing Adolf Rohrbach founded the Rohrbach Metall-Flugzeugbau and pioneered the metal stressed skin principle applied to commercial aircraft. Before the company was taken over by Weser Flugzeugbau in 1934, eleven types have been designed, some with sub-types variants like the most successful of them, the Roland.
This ten seats German airliner made its maiden flight on 1926 and some changes with engine and later a new wing led to Rohrbach Ro VIII, VIIIa and Roland II variants.

Less twenty Roland of all types were built.

This page lists all films that feature a variation of the Rohrbach Roland.
