The company was set up in 1911 as Aéroplanes Deperdussin, becoming the Société de Production des Aéroplanes Deperdussin in 1912. Following a bankrupcy in 1913, it takes its final name until 1921. That year, Blériot became the main shareholder leading to the Blériot-SPAD company.

This includes aircraft manufactured by SPAD as a result of another company being incorporated into SPAD.
