Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 bis / Jianjiji J-2
The famous fighter built in Soviet Union or its licenced Chinese variant is the main star of the movie.
In fact, during the Korean War, airframe were provided by Soviet Union (MiG-15 bis) but in 1976, fighters used for the movie were more probably the Jianjiji J-2. If not model during air fighting.
Here is only a limited range of airframes among all these serials spotted : 3002, 3003, 3004, 3011, 3012, 3013, 3014, 3019, 3020, 3021, 3022 and many many more seen in the background.
Serial 3019, hero among the multitude.
