Grumman JRF-5 Goose

Founded as Ellis Air Transport in 1936, then Ellis Air Lines in 1945 till 1962 when the company merged with Alaska Coastal Airlines into Alaska Coastal-Ellis Airlines. They used several ex US Navy and US Coast Guard Grumman Goose. Though black&white shots are rather well matching for “film noir” in an esthetical way, it’s a pity to not see the beautiful colour these Gooses worn. See discussion page.
