To not lose their state grants, a basketball team needs to quickly improve its performance. Its chairman decides to "purchase" a talented player from the USA. However, it causes some new troubles, as the foreign guest has a problem with acclimatization to the 1980s everyday realities of the socialist state, in which he will live from now on.
