French title : Bonne nuit monsieur Tom

Summer 1940 : The young Willie is sent to the countryside to escape the bombing on the British cities. Mr Oakley welcome him but her mother tries to get him back.

Supermarine Spitfire LF IXe

Light anachronism as the type LF IX was not yet on front line. The roundel style is too not the right one for the Summer 1940.
A 1944 Spitfire c/n CBAF.171363 serial TE566. On 33 Maintenance Unit (June 1945) then 312 (Czech) Squadron (August 1945 then Czech AF) and later sold to Israel (1948 IDAF : 4X-FOB). Eventually ended on the civil market and back to UK in 1976 as G-BLCK. Operated by the Historic Aircraft Collection 1987-1998 with a new 'first' flight on 1992.
Sold in South Africa as ZU-SPT and crashed on 25 April 2002, killing the pilot. Despite completly destroyed, an Australian (people ? company ?) tried to rebuilt from scratch using the manufacturer plate and so registered VH-IXT but cancelation occured on 2013.
Same aircraft in other movies at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft (Military Fixed-Wing).
