North American T-6

Acting sometimes as a Messerschmit 109 straffing retreating troops and civil people refugees ...

... or acting as Junkers Ju 87 Stuka over the beaches.

Hispano Aviación HA-1112-M1L

Buchons -late Messerschmitt Bf 109's Spanish derivative- played the Bf 109's opposition (!), the Hawker Hurricane.

LaBatIng RAF01.JPG

Supermarine Spitfire

Well-known archive footage seen as an overlay.
Same aircraft in other movies at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft (Military Fixed-Wing).

LaBatIng RAF03.JPG

Unidentified Aircraft

British types acting as Luftwaffe fighters.
Such windshield is shared by Miles Master and Miles Martinet. Very surprising as despite built by thousands, these types were no longer in use and no surviving aircraft is known. Despite seen 'in flight', no evidence of that : the closeup avoid wings, engine and propeller. If really such aircraft, a heavy work to reshape the greenhouse and fairing was done.
Note the I./JG 27 emblem on the cowling ... not yet existing during the summer 1940 !
With a Supermarine Spitfire in the background.

Fictional Bomber

English night bombing of Berlin. The machine gun was usually over the sight ...

LaBatIng RAF04.JPG

Vickers Wellington

Vickers Wellington bomb bay...

Heinkel He 111

... but the same crew is dropping from a Heinkel He 111 !

Short S.29 Stirling

Same aircraft in other movies at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft (Military Fixed-Wing).

LaBatIng RAF07.JPG

Fictional Aircraft

Could be a Vickers Wellington but several points are uncorrect.

LaBatIng RAF08.JPG

Hispano Aviación HA-1112-M1L

Still acting as RAF fighters ... during the night raid (no escort fighter during such mission, especially in 1940 !).

LaBatIng RAF09.JPG

Various code seen on several Buchons during takeoff : RF°T and RF°L and RF°H and RF°N ...
RF was the RAF squadron code used from August 1940 to April 1945 by No. 303 (Polish) Squadron.
