Some Comments

1946 or 1947 ?

Half of the online documents consulted give the film as 1946, while the other half place it in 1947. The film was commercially released at the end of 1947.
Alas, the 3 copies I have been able to watch do not bear copyright.

It's an Important Point !

The helicopter seen is pure 'Made for Movie' if the filming was in 1946.
Otherwise, the design was inspired by the brand-new Sud-Ouest (SNCASO) S.O.1100 Ariel I prototype gyroplane which was ready for its first (unsuccessful) flight on February 1947.
The type later was deeply modified for its maiden flight (in 1949) and then lost its streamlined propeller for a more classic single tail (or a twin tail depending the next prototype considered). Please note the absence of a tail rotor by using tip-jet propelled rotorcraft.
