Déchaux Hélicop-Jet
This helicopter was designed in 1969 by Charles Déchaux using the top of the French Panhard PL-24c car : two tops are joined together, one being upside down to be the cabin floor. Using the same engine powering the SNCASO SO.1221 Djinn but with an excess gross weight of 100 kg, the Hélicop-Jet made its first flight in 1976 and was underpowered.
Eight years later, a second prototype was built using a Turbomeca Astazou IIIA turboshaft engine (used too on the Aérospatiale Gazelle) but with no more success and the flight test are stopped in 1985.
