Dear Friends:

Two short years ago we created this message box on our home page, asking for your help to keep this site up and running. In that time, many of you have generously donated to our PayPal account and we are forever grateful. With your help, we've been able to make the necessary upgrades to our server to keep the site running more smoothly than ever!

The meager ad revenue generated by this site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server, and we who manage it have never made money from it.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we continue to ask for donations to keep this site up and running. If you're still enjoying this website and would like to help us continue being the BEST site on the Internet for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Thank you,
Tobin & Rush

The 1969 book of Boris Vasilyev was filmed first in 1972 but this page is about the TV series of 2005. Some actions are linked to the AAA (Anti Aircraft Artilery) stronghold and the Luftwaffe aircraft bombing the village.
But most of the aircraft are seen through archive footage used as war news throughout the episodes.
The twelve chapters (of the Russian issue [the Chinese one has twenty parts] made this study a little bit difficult as most of the archive footage are used two or three or even four times. But if most of the airplane and shot are seen several times, we have sometimes the surprising appearence of a new type among the well known stream.
As most of historical movies, footage are used sometimes unacurrently as we can see german fighters in their pre-war livery as like as shots of the last times of the war when the action is set on 1942. LVCDC 12:47, 31 July 2015 (MDT)
