About This Movie

Most if not all the database say the year of production is 1928. This is just the release date in theater (in France, March 1928; November in the United Kingdom). A two hours long movie is not filmed and cut in less three months and so Maurice Tourneur did it in 1927, probably during the summer as the engine is partially without hoods.
This page uses advertising document released in 1928. Only the Salmson of Herbillon / Maury crew is shown but the book's drama of this love story is the deadly air combat of this équipage against a German aircraft. So we probably missed this adversary ... Any comment and/or picture is welcome !
